There is a stranger now in your child room without you knowing it. What can you do? We protect our kids from strangers in the streets by telling them not to go with them or not to talk to them. But, how can we protect them from strangers on the computer.
Children have always been vulnerable to victimization. Their trusting natures and naivete make them perfect targets for perpetrators both people they know and these they don’t. Youth are often curious and eager to try new things. Many youth struggle with issues of rebellion, independence, seek attention, and affection from people outside the home, often by using computers.
